A yeast producer, Pakmaya is a Pak group company. Its founder Mustafa Nevzat entered the food sector in 1973 and opened the first Pakmaya yeast producer factory in İzmit-Köseköy. Following its first factory, it established the second yeast producer factory in İzmir-Kemalpaşa in 1986 and the third in Düzce-Cumayeri in 1990. In 1998, Turkey has made its first investment outside in Romania Paşcani. From its establishment until the yeast market develops an intense work with Turkey to company Pakmaya 1980, after this date, attention has turned to export markets.
It has been in steady growth since its establishment. Pakmaya is one of the largest yeast producers in the world, reaching a capacity of 250 thousand tons of fresh yeast today. Pakmaya’s plants adhere to the top universal sanitation and quality requirements, using fully computerized manufacturing, accounting, warehousing, and distribution systems. In Pakmaya seeds, an experienced team of about 1,000 people produces new, active dry and instant yeast varieties. To maintain the best possible efficiency and hygiene standards, innovatory machines and equipment are used.
With the production of baker’s yeast, Pakmaya has been operating in the field of bakery, pastry, and milling products since 1986. In the 2010s, the years when Pakmaya enter the consumer products industry: cooking aids, as well as puddings, Turkish sweets, pastry cream, whipped cream, desserts, sauces, chocolate, powdered hot drinks, bread, and muffin mixes are indicators of the brand’s quality and innovation-oriented stance.
